About the opportunity

Want to help launch a consumer brand from the ground up? The Blue Ocean Group is preparing to launch Oat of the Ordinary, our first consumer brand, in early 2027, and we're looking for a creative, social-media-savvy Marketing Intern to be part of it.

Over four months, you'll create content, help plan launch campaigns, build an online community and support influencer outreach. You'll work directly with our leadership, product and sales teams, as well as our external creative partners, and you'll finish with real, published work for your portfolio.

What you'll do

- Come up with content ideas that fit each brand's voice, audience and goals
- Create social media content, including posts, reels, stories and graphics, and write captions and short-form copy
- Help plan and run marketing for new product launches, including the Oat of the Ordinary launch
- Manage content calendars with our external creative partners
- Build community engagement on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Research creators and influencers and support outreach to them
- Track how content performs and recommend what to do more of
- Keep up with trends in social media, design and consumer content

What you'll bring Must-haves

- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a university or college program in marketing, communications, business, design or a related field
- Comfortable creating graphics in Canva
- Strong writing skills, with captions that are clear, engaging and on-brand
- A good sense of what makes content perform on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Organized, able to juggle several tasks and deadlines,



and comfortable working on your own or with a team
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Nice to have

- Photo and video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom)
- Experience running social accounts, supporting campaigns or working with consumer brands
- Familiarity with social media analytics
- A portfolio of content, design, photography or video work

Co-op and for-credit placements are welcome.

Compensation In compliance with the BC Pay Transparency Act, the pay range for this role is $19.00-$21.00 per hour.
