Job Summary

Join the Markham team as a full-time or part time Tearista/Barista, preparing and serving food and beverages while providing friendly, attentive customer service. This role combines order processing, food preparation, and accurate payment handling in a fast-paced food service setting.

Duties

- Prepare tea, coffee, and other menu items, following food-handling and food-safety practices.
- Take customer orders, operate POS or Micros POS systems, and process cash and other payments accurately.
- Support food preparation and serving, keep the work area orderly, and manage tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Use basic math for transactions and order accuracy, and coordinate with teammates to keep service moving.

Skills Required: Clear customer service, basic math, time management, careful food handling, and the ability to prepare and serve food while handling orders and payments accurately. Preferred: Barista experience, food service or food industry experience, familiarity with POS or Micros POS, cashiering, cash handling, serving, and food preparation skills.

Pay: $17.95-$20.00 per hour
