The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Mathematics Learning Specialist who enjoys working with students one-on-one or in small groups. If you love helping learners gain confidence in math and want flexibility within a supportive environment, this role could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Teach the Full Math Spectrum: Cover everything from elementary number sense through advanced calculus, adjusting depth and pacing for each learner
- Work in Small Groups: Lead sessions with individual students or small cohorts (1–6 learners) for personalized attention
- Build Real Confidence: Help students who’ve struggled with math see themselves as capable problem-solvers
- Use Tech Strategically: Apply our classroom platform and digital resources to support your in-person teaching
- Track Progress: Assess understanding regularly, document growth, and give feedback that helps students improve
Who We’re Looking For
- Math Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Multi-Level Experience:
Proven teaching or tutoring experience across Grades 3–12
- Curriculum Knowledge: Solid grasp of the Ontario Math Curriculum
- Tech Comfort: Willing to use digital tools and learn our platform
- Reliable Availability: Committed to consistent weekly hours (minimum 4 per week)
