Responsibilities

- Handle and coordinate active calendars including staff scheduling
- Schedule and confirm appointments with patients
- Ensure file organization based on office protocol
- Provide ad hoc support around office as needed
- Checking in of patients front office, answer incoming calls and booking
- Billing, creating and maintaining patient records, dicta-typing
- Works collaboratively with administration and clinical staff and physicians
- Maintains and processes orders for office and medical supplies
- Communicates with referring physicians, patients and their families/care givers

Qualifications

- Diploma or certification in Medical Office Administration, Health Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a medical office or IT support role preferred.




- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, such as TELUS PS

Suite.
- Previous hospital or medical clinical experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
