Job Summary

Ember Counselling Therapy is looking for a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT or LCT-C), a Registered Social Worker (R.S.W), or a Psychologist to provide supportive, person-centered care. The role involves helping clients address mental health needs through assessment, therapeutic support, treatment planning, intervention and coordinated follow-up.

The position is that of an independent contractor, where the clinic will provide marketing, clients and admin support while the therapist maintains full autonomy over their schedule and work hours. This role is ideal for therapists looking to transition into private practice, supplement their current caseload, or enjoy flexible, independent clinical work without the administrative overhead.

Duties

- Provide client care rooted in evidence-based approaches and informed by each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.
- Support case management by creating and implement treatment plans.
- Collect and document patient information accurately, using appropriate methods.
- Collaborate with other members of clients' care teams when relevant.

Required Experience and Training:

- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or related field
- Registration or eligible for registration with College of Licensed Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB) or New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW)
- Practical experience in client care and effective therapeutic skills




- Strong understanding and application of ethical and professional standards
- Accurate, clear and timely documentation
- Ability to effectively manage own schedule and time

The following experience and/or training will be considered as additional assets and are valuable in the application process:
- Doctorate and/or registration with College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (CPNB)
- Experience working with children, teens, grief, couples issues and/or substance abuse
- Training and/or certification in DBT, EMDR, CPT, ERP, EFT and/or Gottman method

Pay: $60.00-$120.00 per hour
