Apply microbiology expertise at UHN as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, performing clinical procedures across bacteriology, molecular microbiology, and serology.

This permanent full time position serves UHN's Laboratory Medicine Program across all sites. The successful technologist completes assigned microbiology workloads, maintains patient confidentiality, and supports laboratory medicine through accurate testing, reporting, teaching, safety, and quality improvement. Current registration with CMLTO and at least one year of microbiology experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform microbiology laboratory procedures across assigned disciplines and functions
- Operate, troubleshoot, and clean laboratory equipment and work areas
- Prepare written and electronic procedure and test-result reports
- Participate in teaching,



safety, education, and quality improvement programs
- Follow hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols

Requirements:
- Complete a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program
- Maintain current CMLTO registration
- Bring at least one year of microbiology laboratory experience
- Demonstrate problem recognition, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Communicate effectively and work accurately under stressful conditions
