Job Summary The Oil Burner Mechanic installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs oil-burning heating equipment and related systems. The role uses mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support safe, reliable operation. Work may involve boilers, HVAC equipment, plumbing connections, and appliance components.

Duties

- Inspect oil burners, boilers, and associated equipment; identify faults and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repair work, using schematics to understand system layouts and guide troubleshooting.
- Keep work areas orderly and communicate equipment condition and completed work to colleagues.
- Your impact: Reliable repairs help customers maintain functioning heating systems and help colleagues coordinate follow-up work.

Qualifications Required:



Practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, follow schematics, and work carefully with HVAC and boiler systems. Clear communication and sound troubleshooting support safe, organized work. Preferred: Mechanic experience, particularly with oil burners or related heating equipment, is valuable; plumbing, welding, appliance repair, and construction experience can also support success in the role.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 per week
