Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Projects Billing & Project Accounting (PA) Techno-Functional Consultant to support our client in Canada on a remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) Projects modules—specifically Project Billing, Project Costing, and Project Accounting—along with robust technical capabilities to handle custom extensions, APIs, workflows, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Functional & Technical Configuration: Design, configure, and maintain Oracle EBS R12 Projects modules (Project Billing, Project Costing, Project Accounting, and Project Management).
- Billing & Accounting Optimization: Configure complex revenue recognition rules, billing schedules, invoicing formats, multi-currency accounting, and project a/r integration.
- Custom Development & Support: Write and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, custom forms, reports (XML/BI Publisher), and Oracle Workflow customizations related to the Projects suite.
- Integrations & Data Migration: Manage and troubleshoot interfaces between Oracle EBS Projects and third-party systems (e.g., time-tracking, project management, or external billing systems).
- Troubleshooting & Support:



Diagnose and resolve complex day-to-day functional and technical production issues, performance bottlenecks, and user support tickets.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and finance stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analyses, and deliver comprehensive functional and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS implementation, upgrade, and support experience focusing heavily on the Projects module suite (PA, PB, PC).
- Techno-Functional Expertise: Strong balance of functional business process knowledge (revenue recognition, billing events, cost distribution, allocations) and technical proficiency (SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, BI Publisher, Workflow Builder, API/Open Interfaces).
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of project accounting best practices, project budgeting, forecasting, and billing cycles within professional services, engineering, or IT consulting sectors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and finance stakeholders.
- Location & Availability: Must be legally eligible to work and provide services remotely within Canada.
