Construction Market Inc. is a Toronto-based startup that helps residential construction contractors win new work in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas.
About the role
We're hiring a part-time Outreach Caller for an initial two-month pilot. You'll phone residential builders and contractors, start conversations about their upcoming work, and pass promising conversations to our team. You'll report to Sales in this position.
Fit for someone who is confident on the phone, enjoys sales, and wants a front-row seat at an early-stage company.
Key responsibilities
- Make outbound business-to-business calls to residential builders and contractors.
- Start professional conversations and identify genuine business opportunities.
- Handle first questions and objections politely and professionally.
- Keep accurate records of every call and its outcome.
- Flag follow-ups and hand promising conversations to the team.
- Share feedback that helps us improve our process.
- Follow our calling guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A sales-oriented mindset and the ability to engage business owners.
- A confident, explicit phone manner.
- Strong organization, attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
- Availability during weekday calling hours (8-18 ET)
Preferred
- Experience in outbound sales, cold calling or lead generation.
- B2B sales experience.
- Knowledge of residential construction.
No industry experience needed if you communicate well, take initiative and learn fast.
Compensation
- Pay: $20.00 CAD per hour with possibility of commission.
- Term: Initial 2-month pilot, with possible extension based on performance and business needs.
- Hours: Part-time, weekday work hours.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 20.0 per week
