ABOUT THE POSITION

As an Overnight Steward, you play a key role in maintaining all areas of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, setting the team up for the following day. This includes the proper use and maintenance of all equipment while ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Clean assigned areas of kitchens according to established standards.
- Support the PM stewarding team as necessary in completing daily routines and ensuring dish areas are clean and ready for next day operations.
- Daily cleaning under and behind key equipment, along with the daily upkeep of key kitchen equipment as required and demonstrated.
- Upkeep and maintenance of a safe work environment as per policies and procedures.
- Conduct inventory of supplies and report needs to Executive Chef as necessary.
- Work unsupervised to handle the mechanical and physical needs of cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Honour workplace safety standards at all times.




- Other Stewarding duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- One year experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; good communication skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time; up to 8+ hours.
- Able to prioritize effectively with superb organizational skills.
- Floor care knowledge and experience is an asset.
- Must be able to work overnight shifts (approximately 11:00pm to 7:30am) with flexibility to work any day of the week.
