Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: 5 days per week, 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Break: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)

Hours: 25 paid hours per week

Pay: $18 CAD per hour

About the Position

Cuervo y Marquis is looking for a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Bakery Assistant to join our team.

This is a hands-on, versatile role involving different aspects of our daily bakery operations, including food preparation, customer service, cleaning, organization, and end-of-day closing procedures.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a bakery environment, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of teamwork and shared responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Bakery Production & Preparation

- Assist with daily bakery production and food preparation.
- Prepare ingredients and support bakers with various production tasks.
- Maintain organized workstations and follow food safety standards.

Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Process transactions and handle customer orders.
- Restock and maintain bakery displays.
- Keep the customer area clean and welcoming.

Cleaning, Organization & Closing




- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, workstations, utensils, and customer areas.
- Wash dishes, trays, and production tools.
- Sweep and mop daily the entire bakery.
- Properly store products and complete all end-of-day closing procedures.
- Ensure the bakery is clean, organized, and ready for the next day.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Dependable, punctual, and proactive.
- Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed.
