Personal Support Worker

Bradford Valley Community — Bradford, Ontario

Schedule: Permanent part time evenings, 30 hours; 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Pay: $25.51 minimum, as per collective agreement.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. The Personal Support Worker joins the long-term care team to support residents' daily health, comfort, dignity, and well-being, while building relationships with residents and their families.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, according to individual care plans.




- Support residents' communication and use of sensory aids and mobility or assistive devices.
- Administer specific medication after prescribed training and under the supervision of a registered health professional.
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, oral, and dental care and encourage participation in resident programs.

Qualifications
- Completion of a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques for simple treatments and bedside care.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
