DailySupport is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and qualified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide one-on-one home care for an existing client in Windsor, Ontario.
We are looking for a reliable individual who is committed to providing quality care while supporting the client's independence, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, activities of daily living, mobility, and transfers.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders within the PSW scope of practice.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying.
- Provide transportation or accompaniment to appointments and essential outings as required.
- Follow the client's individualized care plan and report any concerns or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate service records and required documentation.
Requirements
- Valid PSW certificate or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to transport the client to appointments when required.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or acceptable Police Record Check.
- Good English communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, respectful, and professional.
- Ability to work independently in a home-care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or community care.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents (MVA).
