A busy community pharmacy in Brampton is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.
What you will do
- Read prescriptions and process them accurately — data entry, processing, and adjudicating claims to insurance independently - Check expiry dates, prepare returns, and send products back to the wholesaler - Prepare blister packs - Serve patients and customers at the counter and on the phone — politely, patiently, and with empathy - Support the pharmacist and the team in a rapid-paced dispensary setting What we're looking for:
- Experience as a pharmacy assistant (community pharmacy preferred) - Working knowledge of Propel Rx / Nexxsys pharmacy software - Able to process prescriptions and adjudicate insurance claims independently - Expiry checking and wholesaler returns experience - Blister pack preparation experience - Excellent communication skills, in person and on the phone - Problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude - Valuable computer skills - Available for morning shifts, evening shifts, and weekends How to apply: Please email your resume to [email protected].
