River Valley Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily pharmacy operations and provide specialized customer guidance on dietary, nutritional products, and health supplements.
This role combines technical pharmacy workflow support with specialized product knowledge. The successful candidate will assist with prescription preparation, inventory management, and patient flow while also helping customers with vitamins, supplements, natural health products, and nutritional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy workflow including prescription preparation, inventory management, and patient flow
- Assist pharmacists and staff with daily operational tasks
- Provide informed guidance to customers on dietary, nutritional products, vitamins, and health supplements
- Maintain accurate inventory of front-shop nutritional and wellness products
- Ensure high standards of customer service and medication safety support
- Help manage increased patient volume in a growing community pharmacy
Requirements
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare retail setting preferred
- Solid knowledge of dietary, nutritional products, vitamins, and health supplements (required)
- Ability to support technical pharmacy workflow (prescription processing, inventory, patient flow)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff
