Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician/assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care while adhering to all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication administration logs and inventory management.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
- Monitor inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to medication handling and storage.




- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with medical terminology and pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Solid understanding of medication administration processes and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
