About Rally
Rally at Sherwood Village is Mississauga’s social pickleball destination: Pickleball | Courthouse Bar | Social House. We bring people together through great courts, great food and drinks, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. From corporate team-building to kids’ birthday parties, our events are where pickleball meets your social life.
The Role
We’re looking for an organized, guest-focused Event Coordinator to plan and run our private events: corporate outings, birthday parties and team events. This is a hospitality-first role with a heavy emphasis on food and beverage. You’ll own every event from confirmed booking to final cleanup, so every group leaves wanting to come back.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and plan corporate events, birthday parties and team events from handoff through event day.
- Act as the main point of contact for event clients: confirming details, headcounts, timing, menus and special requests.
- Build food and beverage plans for each event, including menu selection, dietary needs, drink packages and drink tickets, and service timing.
- Work closely with our kitchen and bar team to order product, prep and execute F&B; service.
- Set up and manage event spaces, including our Commons Private Area and courtside areas.
- Upsell add-ons such as menu upgrades, drink packages, paddle rentals, medals and extended court time.
- Host events on-site,
making sure they start on time, run smoothly and leave a great impression.
- Follow up with clients after events for feedback, reviews and rebookings.
- Keep event details, invoices and calendars accurate and up to date.
- Work with our group sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and repeat business.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in event coordination, banquets, catering or restaurant management.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge: menu planning, service flow, ordering and costing.
- Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple events at once.
- Friendly, confident communication with clients, guests and staff.
- A calm, problem-solving attitude when things change on the fly.
- Availability for evenings and weekends, when most events happen.
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Food Handler certification is an asset.
- Pickleball experience is a bonus, but not required. We’ll teach you to play.
Why Join Rally
- A fun, social, quick-growing venue.
- Staff perks, including court time and F&B; discounts.
- Room to grow with a team that’s building something new in Mississauga
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Benefits
- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking
Work Location: In person
