We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer Helper to join our team. The Pipelayer Helper will be responsible for installing and repairing underground pipelines for various utility services.
Duties
- Cut and move pipe into trenches, align and join together
- Ability to understand and follow blueprints and specifications
- Set pipe laser, maintain and check elevations
- Work in confined spaces to setup lasers, bypasses, benching and parging manholes
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assemble and install pipelines
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, thread, and weld pipes
- Assist with low voltage electrical work related to pipeline installations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in sewer and watermain construction
- Experience working as a Pipelayer or Pipelayer Helper
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in pipelaying
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow specifications accurately an asset
Job Type: Full time Pay: $34.85-$37.12 per hour
