About the Role

Pro-Built Mechanical Inc. is looking for a dependable, experienced Service Plumber to join our team. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, multi-family, and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates clearly with customers, and can work independently while staying connected with our service team.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, drainage problems, fixture failures, and hot water system concerns.
- Install, repair, and replace piping, valves, fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify concerns that may require additional repairs.
- Respond to scheduled service calls and urgent plumbing issues.
- Explain findings, recommended repairs, and next steps to customers professionally.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager and office team regarding scheduling, materials, job progress, and follow-up work.
- Complete accurate service reports, work orders, time entries, material records, and job photos.
- Follow applicable plumbing codes, company procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Complete required hazard assessments and promptly report incidents, hazards, or damaged equipment.
- Keep the company vehicle, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work as required.

Qualifications

- Valid Journeyman Plumber certification.




- Previous plumbing service and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience working in occupied residential, multi-family, or commercial buildings.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, fixtures, drainage, and hot water equipment.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable using mobile applications to complete service documentation.
- Current CSTS and WHMIS training, or willingness to obtain before starting.
- Gasfitting certification and experience with boilers, hydronic heating, backflow testing, or drain-cleaning equipment are assets.

Working Conditions

- Travel between customer properties and job sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities.
- Work may involve lifting equipment, climbing ladders, kneeling, and accessing confined or awkward work areas.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment and safe work practices are required.
- Some evening, weekend, and emergency service work may be required.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
