Job Summary The Private Math Tutor helps students build understanding, confidence, and effective problem-solving habits through focused, individualized instruction. The role adapts explanations and practice to each learner’s needs, making mathematical concepts more accessible and supporting steady progress.

Duties

- Solid understanding of Pre-Calculus/Calculus Math 10-12 BC curriculum.
- Teach math concepts using clear explanations, guided examples, and practice activities suited to each student’s learning goals.
- Assess understanding, identify areas for improvement, and adjust tutoring approaches to support continued learning.
- Your impact: Students gain practical math skills and greater confidence in their learning.

Requirements Required: Strong math knowledge, teaching and tutoring capabilities, clear communication,



and computer skills are essential for planning lessons, explaining concepts, and monitoring progress.

Preferred: Experience working with children, classroom experience, familiarity with special education approaches, and computer science knowledge can help you tailor instruction and connect math to varied learning needs. A patient, adaptable approach supports productive sessions and helps students feel comfortable asking questions. The ability to recognize when a learner needs a different explanation or additional practice is valuable for keeping lessons focused and encouraging continued engagement.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
