ProForma Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate and deliver multidisciplinary industrial engineering projects from concept through detailed design and construction support. With offices in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Red Deer and Fort McMurray, Alberta, we offer opportunities to work on a variety of industrial projects.

What You’ll Do

- Coordinate engineering activities, deliverables, priorities, and interdisciplinary interfaces across industrial projects.

- Work with project managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors, and vendors to manage scope, schedule, budget, technical requirements, and project changes.

- Prepare, review, and coordinate calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, datasheets, equipment documentation, and other engineering deliverables.

- Support procurement and construction through technical bid evaluations, vendor coordination, RFIs, field/design changes, and issue resolution.

- Participate in design, model, constructability, and technical reviews and support practical resolution of project issues.

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in a project engineering role related to oil and gas, mining, process/piping, heavy industrial, or water/wastewater projects.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or another related engineering discipline.

- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and registration, or eligibility for registration, in the applicable jurisdiction.

- Reviewing and coordinating pipeline and facility drawings, including P&IDs;, plot plans, general arrangements (GAs), equipment layouts, and related engineering drawings.

- Working knowledge of commonly applied codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, CSA B149 series, API 650,



and other project-specific requirements.

- Technical writing and report experience across project stages, including Scoping Studies, Design Basis Memoranda (DBMs), FEED, detailed design, and Construction Work Packages (CWPs).

- Drawing and model reviews, mark-ups, and engineering document stages such as IFR, IFA, IFT, IFC, and as-builts.

- Vendor coordination and bid equalization experience for equipment and construction packages.

- Creating datasheets and reviewing/sizing equipment such as pumps, control valves, compressors, meters, process separation equipment, line sizing and hydraulics

- Reviewing client specifications and participating in design reviews, model reviews, and HAZOPs.

- Developing project cost estimates and schedules.
