Quality Control Inspector Location: Grande Prairie, Local Candidates preferred.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Fabrication lead to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization. This will be a shop and occasional local field position.

About the Role: As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will work closely with production and project teams to verify that materials, welds, and coatings meet required specifications and industry standards, create and submit project deliverables, such as materials receiving reports, NDE requests, RFI, and turnover packages. We are open to have the successful candidate join us an employee, or as a Subcontractor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on fabricated and welded components
- Conduct coating and surface preparation inspections in accordance with NACE standards
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, weld procedures (WPS/PQR), and project specifications
- Document inspection findings, prepare reports,



and maintain accurate records
- Identify non-conformances and work with teams to implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies as required

Required Qualifications:

- CWB Level 1 (minimum) or 2 Certification (preferred)
- Proven experience in a Quality Control Inspector role
- Strong skills in Bluebeam
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (CSA Z662, B 31.3, W59)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and documentation skills

Additional Assets:

- Experience in oil & gas, structural, or industrial fabrication environments
- Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT) is an asset
- Experience with material receiving, parameters, NDT requests, MTR reviews.
