As a Refuse Collection Driver/Crew Leader, you'll not only lead your crew and operate your vehicle safely and efficiently, but you'll also act as an ambassador for the Council, providing excellent customer service and ensuring our high standards are maintained across the Borough.

What You'll Be Doing

- Driving and operating refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Leading a collection crew and ensuring work is completed to high standards.
- Collecting domestic waste and recyclables across the Borough.
- Supporting a variety of waste management services, including:
- Glass collections
- Bulky household waste collections
- Septic tank and cesspool emptying

- Providing excellent customer service to residents.
- Promoting safe working practices and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

You Will

What We're Looking For

- Hold a full LGV Category C (Class 2) licence
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
- Be safety-conscious and reliable
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team




- Ideally have experience of refuse collection vehicles, tipping operations and supervising or leading teams
