The Area Fleet
Director oversees fleet performance across current locations and future acquisitions. This strategic leadership role manages monthly fleet P&Ls;, capital planning, preventive maintenance compliance, and safety standards. You will mentor fleet professionals while partnering with branch leaders, compliance teams, maintenance groups, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop fleet performance metrics and analyze operational trends
- Manage monthly fleet P&Ls; across business units
- Oversee regional fleet operations, inventory, and shop performance
- Track preventive maintenance compliance and inspection schedules
- Mentor fleet, compliance, and internal shop teams Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5–8+ years of progressive fleet management experience
- 3+ years of leadership or people management experience
- Robust financial literacy involving fleet P&Ls; and budgeting
- Periodic travel throughout the assigned area or region Direct fleet performance, safety, maintenance compliance, and financial planning while supporting GFL Environmental’s regional operations.
