Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene practices, excellent patient communication skills, and a passion for promoting oral health. Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with patient assessments, including medical history updates and oral health evaluations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software.
- Support the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with orthodontics, pediatrics, and other specialties to deliver tailored patient care when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office setting.
- Proficiency with Dentrix or other dental practice management software.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or customer service roles enhances patient interaction skills.
- Familiarity with dental office protocols, infection control standards, and safety regulations.
