About the Opportunity

Tez Healthcare Services is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team.

This position offers an opportunity to work closely with Registered Occupational Therapists, primarily supporting clients recovering from motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries through ICBC-funded rehabilitation services. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play an important role in helping clients regain functional independence, improve their quality of life, and work toward their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

Rehabilitation Support & Client Care

- Implement individualized rehabilitation programs developed and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Assist clients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Support clients in improving their physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
- Encourage client participation and independence throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Monitor client progress, document treatment sessions, and communicate relevant observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through structured, client-centred interventions.

Collaboration & Communication

- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Maintain clear and timely communication regarding client progress, challenges, and treatment outcomes.




- Participate in clinical discussions and contribute to ongoing rehabilitation planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and professional expectations.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

- Diploma or relevant education in Rehabilitation Assistance, Occupational Therapy Assistance, Physiotherapy Assistance, Kinesiology, or a related healthcare field.
- Experience working with clients recovering from orthopedic injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or neurological conditions is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while following rehabilitation plans established by a supervising clinician.
- A compassionate, skilled, and client-centred approach to care.
- Previous experience with ICBC clients or community-based rehabilitation is an asset, but not required.
