McNair Electric is seeking a motivated full-time level 2 electrical apprentice to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, punctual, professional with a strong work ethic who excels both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate possesses solid troubleshooting and in office decision-making skills, adapts well to dynamic work environments, and maintains a polite, professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety regulations and practices.
- Assist and perform electrical rough-ins including pulling cable, install conduit, making connections.
- Install electrical equipment such as panels, breakers, transformers and make all necessary connections/ terminations.
- Install electrical devices such as plugs, switches, smoke detectors and light fixtures.
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components to resolve operational issues and eliminate hazards.
- Perform work confidently within high-end residential environments.
- Manage material inventory while tracking accurate billing for time and supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Demonstrate detail-oriented work habits, strong organizational abilities, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Prioritize tasks efficiently and show a continuous willingness to learn and advance skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid G Class Driver’s License paired with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in the electrical trade is considered an asset.
- Completed Level 1 - 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician program
