Northern Vision Development

Dawson City

We shape, build, and connect the North. We do this by anchoring our work in Drive, Rigour, and Kindness – ambition in what we pursue, discipline in how we deliver, and respect in how we lead.

The opportunity

Dawson City is one of the Yukon’s most distinctive places to live and work. Summer brings a surge of energy, with visitors, festivals, live music, and near-endless daylight under the midnight sun. It is a place with true character, where work and lifestyle come together in a way that is hard to replicate anywhere else in the North.

At the Sluice Box Lounge and Bonanza dining room, located in the Eldorado, A Coast hotel, the Restaurant Manager plays a key role in shaping the guest experience and the pace, feel, and performance of the operations day to day. This role leads restaurant service across front of house, bar, and kitchen coordination, helping ensure the lounge and dining room are well run, the team is aligned, and guests leave having had a great experience.

What does your success look like?

- The lounge and dining room are well run, guest-focused, and consistent in both service and execution.
- Guests experience food, drinks, and service that feel welcoming, well-coordinated, and worth returning for.
- The team is clear on expectations, supported in their work, and consistently strong in performance and accountability.
- Labour, inventory, and controllable costs are managed with discipline, supporting strong operational and financial performance.
- Service, bar, and kitchen operations work together smoothly, especially during busy periods.

What you bring to the role

- Leadership experience in restaurant, food and beverage, or hospitality.
- Experience training and building capacity in teams while holding service standards.
- Strong operational judgment and business acumen.
- Experience managing labour, controllable costs, and operational results.
- Clear communicator who maintains clarity across the team.
- Collaborates effectively with restaurant teams and supporting departments.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities.
