As a Restaurant Manager, your primary focus will be to managing front of house according to the Restaurant’s steps of service. The manager should physically present on the restaurant floor and in the kitchen to monitor the quality of the service and the food. You'll need to be able to lead as well as work as part of a team. This position also plays a key role in the development and attention to Health and Safety practices.

- Fostering a positive work environment that supports and promotes exceptional guest-focused service
- Assist and supervise kitchen team in all areas including meal preparation, portion control, plating, and cleaning activities.
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and compliance of food sanitation standards according to health and safety standards.
- Ability to multi-task, make positive decisions and perform efficiently while leading the team during high volume peak periods and maintaining momentum.
- Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
- To ensure that the guests needs are always the priority and respond to customer complaints.
- Perform daily pre-shift meetings and checklists with team




- Assist management with performing evaluations and training all staff on systems and use of equipment.
- Perform the administrative duties for the restaurant, such as ordering and maintaining inventory and supplies, tallying receipts, preparing deposits and managing labour costs
- Evaluating the effectiveness and reporting on the metrics of all such programs to general manager
- Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, experience in Italian restaurants is an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative.
- Passion for the kitchen and for producing quality food every day.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to learn
- Must have a good command of the English language.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills and sales ability.
- Ability to multi-task.
- High level of product knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Solid business acumen and team-building skills
