About Us

Ridgetechone (RTO) is a self-performing crane and concrete formwork contractor based in Burnaby, BC, with active job sites ranging from Vancouver to Abbotsford.

Our crane division already has a strong, established safety team. We're now adding a Safety Manager dedicated to our formwork operations to lead safety across several active concrete jobsites at once.

This is not a single-site safety officer role. We need a manager who sets the standard, runs the system, and holds sites accountable, while spending real time on site with the crews.

What You'll Do

- Oversee health and safety across multiple active formwork and concrete jobsites at the same time
- Be on site regularly, building trust with foremen, lead hands and crews, and coaching in the field
- Lead the company's COR implementation and certification program through the BCCSA (BC Construction Safety Alliance), including oversight of the JOHS Committee, workplace inspections, incident investigations, hazard management processes, document control, and audit readiness
- Develop, roll out and enforce formwork-specific protected work procedures, such as fall protection, form and shoring work, crane-assisted lifts, rebar and pours, and slab edges
- Run effective safety meetings, toolbox talks and orientations, and keep them focused and productive
- • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments and incident investigations, and follow corrective actions through to completion
- Manage weekly safety deliverables across all sites and delegate to site leads where appropriate
- Drive change on site by introducing new procedures and getting real buy-in from the crews

- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and the OHS Regulation
- Work closely with Project Managers, superintendents and our crane division safety team

What We're Looking For

- Construction safety experience in concrete formwork, including time spent on active jobsites (required)
- Experience overseeing safety on more than one site at once
- COR experience, or a solid working knowledge of the COR program and audit process
- Strong communication skills, with confidence leading meetings and speaking to crews, foremen and management
- Proven follow-through: you complete weekly tasks and close the loop without being chased
- Ability to delegate effectively and hold people accountable
- Ability to lead change on site and earn respect from the guys doing the work
- Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
- Valid BC driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between jobsites
- Assets: NCSO, CRSP, CHSC, or BCCSA COR Internal Auditor training; first aid certification

Compensation & Benefits

- $80,000 - 90,000 per year, paid bi-weekly
- Company benefits plan after a 3-month waiting period
- Company-provided equipment as required for the role, which may include an iPad, laptop, monitor(s), and software access

Additional Information

- This position includes a 6-month probationary period.
- RTO is an equal opportunity employer. We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a short note about your formwork safety and COR experience.
