Position Overview

Al-Manarat Heights is looking for a reliable, hands-on Security, Facilities and Technology Coordinator to help maintain a safe, organized, and properly functioning school environment.

The successful candidate must communicate well, remain calm under pressure, confidently manage difficult situations, and be willing to assist with different operational needs.Solid knowledge of Islamic values, etiquette, and practices, with the ability to uphold and respectfully support the Islamic environment of the school. Experience working in an Islamic school or Muslim community organization is strongly preferred.

Main Responsibilities

- Monitor entrances, hallways, parking areas, cameras, and building security.
- Respond to safety concerns, disturbances, and unauthorized access.
- Manage conflicts using firm, professional de-escalation techniques.
- Assist with arrival, dismissal, traffic control, and school events.
- Supervise janitorial staff and ensure cleaning duties are completed.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and address facility concerns.
- Support computers, printers, projectors, Wi-Fi, cameras, sound systems, and other school technology.
- Coordinate technology repairs with outside providers when needed.
- Move furniture, equipment, boxes, and school supplies.
- Set up and clean up rooms for classes, meetings, prayers, and events.
- Coordinate basic maintenance, repairs, deliveries,



and contractors.
- Support all school divisions and programs as needed.
- Complete incident reports and communicate concerns to leadership.

Qualifications
- Valid security guard licence.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Calm, confident, firm, and professional under pressure.
- Comfortable supervising janitorial staff.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
- Physically able to move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Dependable, punctual, observant, and willing to take initiative.
- First Aid and CPR certification are preferred.
- Vulnerable-sector check will be required.

Some evening or weekend availability may be required for school events and special programs. The candidate must be comfortable supporting prayer times, Islamic events, appropriate conduct, and the school’s faith-based environment.
