We are seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to join our Warming Centre team as Security staff for the winter season. This is a critical role ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff during overnight operations.

Position Details

· Duration: November 15, 2026 - March 31, 2027

· Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off, 7am - 7pm

· Wage: $20.00 per hour

· Location: Red Deer

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor the premises to ensure a safe environment for all guests and staff.

· Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.

· Enforce centre policies and procedures with respect and fairness.

· Complete nightly security checks and maintain incident logs.

· Assist with intake and support of guests as needed.

· Collaborate with other staff to provide a welcoming environment.

Requirements

· Previous experience in security, emergency shelter, or related roles is an asset.





· Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to remain alert and proactive throughout overnight shifts.

· Comfortable working with diverse populations and in a team setting.

· Reliable transportation to and from the centre.

· Current first aid or security certification is considered an asset.
