We're looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working directly for a residential home builder, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to independently manage residential drafting projects from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare complete residential construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Prepare detailed electrical layouts and plans, including lighting, switches, receptacles, and other electrical requirements.
- Develop and modify custom home designs based on client preferences, lot requirements, and building specifications.
- Prepare complete permit-ready drawing packages and construction documents.
- Ensure drawings comply with the Alberta Building Code, municipal requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Work closely with our sales, design, and construction teams to bring projects from concept to completion.
- Review architectural and electrical plans for accuracy, functionality, and constructability.
- Coordinate revisions, site-specific requirements, and design changes throughout the construction process.
- Independently manage multiple drafting projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.




- Minimum 5 years of residential architectural drafting experience.
- Previous experience working directly for a residential home builder is mandatory.
- Must have experience creating residential electrical layouts and incorporating electrical plans into complete construction drawing packages.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit is required, with experience preparing complete residential construction drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of wood-frame residential construction methods and Alberta building requirements.
- Experience preparing complete construction and permit drawing packages.
- Ability to independently manage projects from initial design through permit submission.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- Experience with custom homes, production home building, and site-specific plans is an asset.
