We need a senior consultant to lead the design, migration and governance of supplier master data across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and Jaggaer Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM). Jaggaer is the golden record for supplier data, integrated to SAP through IDocs and APIs. You will own the S/4HANA Business Partner design for suppliers, set the integration and migration approach, and advise Procurement, Finance and IT leadership on decisions that shape the record for years.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Advisory and design leadership

Own the target state supplier data model and the S/4HANA Business Partner design, and defend design decisions with business and IT leadership.

Define system of record rules per attribute across Jaggaer, SAP and downstream systems.

Act as the senior point of contact for the implementation partner on supplier master data; review and challenge their designs, mapping specs and test results.

Mentor analysts and data stewards; set standards for mapping specs, DQ rules and reconciliation.

S/4HANA Business Partner

Collaboratively Design BP groupings, number ranges and internal/external numbering, aligned with legacy vendor account groups.

Define BP role usage for suppliers (FLVN00 Supplier, FLVN01 FI Supplier) and for combined supplier customer BPs (FLCU00/FLCU01), including when one BP should carry both.

Lead Customer Vendor Integration (CVI): readiness checks, CVI mapping configuration, synchronization cockpit (MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT), and post conversion error resolution.

Govern BP relationships, contact persons, address usages, bank details, tax numbers (DFKKBPTAXNUM) and time dependent data.

Define field status, mandatory fields and BP authorization concepts with security and functional teams; assess where SAP MDG BP or Jaggaer workflow should own change governance.

Own BP data across tables BUT000, BUT020, BUT0BK, BUT100, DFKKBPTAXNUM and CVI_VEND_LINK, and their mapping back to LFA1, LFB1, LFM1 and LFBK.

Integration & Business Process Alignment

Define and oversee the end to end integration flow between Jaggaer SLM and S/4HANA to ensure seamless synchronization of supplier master data across enterprise systems.

Align Jaggaer onboarding, qualification, and lifecycle workflows with SAP purchasing and company code data requirements.

Ensure supplier master data models support cross functional business processes, including electronic data interchange (EDI) and partner profile setups.

Establish business monitoring and exception handling frameworks to resolve data synchronization issues efficiently.

Migration and data quality

Lead the supplier and BP migration strategy for the ECC to S/4HANA program: scope, cleansing, de duplication, load approach (Migration Cockpit, CVI conversion), mock load plan, reconciliation and cutover criteria.

Drive supplier consolidation decisions from duplicate analysis through business sign off.

Define DQ rules and thresholds for critical supplier elements and embed them in governance tooling (e.g. Collibra, Snowflake) with named owners.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Qualifications & Skills

10+ years in SAP master data, with 5+ years focused on vendor/supplier data in ECC and S/4HANA.

Led at least one full S/4HANA Business Partner and CVI conversion for suppliers,



from readiness through cutover.

Deep knowledge of BP configuration: groupings, roles, number ranges, field control, relationships and CVI mapping.

Hands on experience with a supplier management platform — Jaggaer SLM strongly preferred (or other SLM specific tooling).

Designed or governed supplier integrations using IDocs, APIs and middleware; able to read and diagnose payloads.

Working knowledge of EDI transaction sets and master data dependencies.

Consulting or client facing experience advising senior stakeholders and steering partners.

Strong SQL for profiling and reconciliation.

Preferred qualifications

SAP BP function implementation experience.

SAP certification in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or Master Data.

CDMP or equivalent data management certification.

Experience with enterprise data governance tools and process automation.

Manufacturing, multi entity, multi country procurement; bilingual English/French an asset.

Target State Supplier Data Models & BP Design – S/4HANA Business Partner groupings, roles, number ranges, and mapping back to legacy vendor structures.

System of Record Rules & Integration Specs – Field level ownership guidelines across Jaggaer SLM, S/4HANA, and downstream systems, including interface specifications and API integrations.

CVI Readiness & Conversion Strategy – Execution plans for Customer Vendor Integration, MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT synchronization, and post conversion error resolution.

Supplier Master Data Migration Strategy – Cleansing guidelines, deduplication logic, mock load schedules, reconciliation frameworks, and cutover acceptance criteria for ECC to S/4HANA.

Data Quality Rules & Governance Controls – Thresholds and profiling definitions for critical supplier elements, embedded in enterprise tools like Collibra, Snowflake, or SAP Information Steward.

Interface Monitoring & Error Handling Standards – Operating procedures for exception handling, payload diagnosis, and automated reprocessing across integration middleware.

Implementation Partner Review Standards – Formal design evaluations, mapping spec validations, and test result sign offs to hold external vendors accountable.

A seamless transition from ECC vendor master data to S/4HANA Business Partner model with zero disruption to Procurement, Finance, or operational EDI flows.

Jaggaer SLM firmly established itself as the golden record for supplier data, seamlessly integrated with SAP through robust IDoc and API architectures.

High data accuracy and duplicate reduction achieved through proactive SQL profiling, automated DQ rules, and standardized governance workflows.

Explicit accountability and system of record alignment across Procurement, Finance, Enterprise Data Management,



and IT leadership.

Effective guidance and quality oversight of the implementation partner's data mapping, conversion scripts, and test executions.

What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a seasoned SAP master data expert and advisor who specializes in supplier domain data governance, migration, and system integrations.

They bring deep technical mastery of S/4HANA Business Partner design, CVI mapping, and SAP integration objects (IDocs, OData/SOAP APIs), combined with hands on experience using supplier management tools like Jaggaer SLM.

They combine analytical rigor (SQL, data profiling, DQ rules) with strong communication skills to challenge external implementation partners, align cross functional stakeholders across Finance and Procurement, and mentor junior analysts.

Above all, they possess an owner's mindset to ensure supplier master data remains clean, compliant, and reliable across complex enterprise systems.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
