Order Picker & Reach Truck Operator – Day Shift

Location: Brampton, Ontario (Torbram Rd. & Williams Pkwy)

Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: $22.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay

S tatus : Full-Time

Start Date : Immediate

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and dependable Order Picker & Reach Truck Operators to support warehouse and distribution operations at a busy electrical supply facility in Brampton.

This position combines forklift operation, order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties. The successful candidate must have valid certifications and recent hands-on experience operating both an Order Picker (Cherry Picker) and a Reach Truck.

This is a multi-functional warehouse position, not a single-machine forklift role.



Candidates must be comfortable switching between equipment operation and general warehouse tasks while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely and efficiently operate Order Picker (Cherry Picker) and Reach Truck forklifts

- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently

- Use RF scanners and computerized warehouse management systems to locate, verify, and process inventory

- Move and organize materials using forklifts, walkies, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment

- Assist with shipping, receiving, wrapping, labelling, and preparing orders for shipment

- Ensure customer orders are accurate, properly packaged, and free from damage

- Support general warehouse operations and material handling activities

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies

- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity requirements

- Assist with additional hours or overtime when required

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

- Valid Order Picker (Cherry Picker) forklift certification – Required

- Valid Reach Truck forklift certification – Required

- Valid Fall Arrest certification – Required

- Recent hands-on experience operating both Order Picker and Reach Truck equipment





- Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or order fulfilment environment

- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is considered an asset

- Basic computer knowledge and mathematical skills

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

- Good communication and organizational skills

- Ability to meet productivity expectations while maintaining safe work practices

- Reliable attendance and punctuality

- Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime when operationally required

Work Conditions

- Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment

- Combination of forklift operation and general warehouse duties

- Physical work involving standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements

- Regular use of material-handling equipment and computerized inventory systems

- CSA-approved safety footwear is mandatory and must be supplied by the employee

- Compliance with all workplace safety procedures and required PPE

- Overtime may be required based on operational needs
