MCG Careers, Inc. is seeking a Full-Server/Bartender on behalf of our employer partner (in the Winning Edge-Workplace Training Program), Calgary’s leading African restaurant, known for delivering exceptional food, fast service, and a memorable dining experience. Passionate about sharing authentic African cuisine and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Position Overview

The Server/Bartender plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service. In our small, team-focused environment, this role also requires flexibility to assist with other operational needs to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Operate POS system and handle payments
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, bar, and service stations
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Support other restaurant operations including kitchen chores as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous serving or bartending experience preferred




- ProServe certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Professional appearance and demeanor

Winning Edge - Workplace Training Program Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity through the Winning Edge Program, applicants must meet the following criteria :

- Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen .
- Must be unemployed at the time of intake.
- Ready, willing, and able to work full-time (up to 40 hours/week).
- Not a current student or enrolled in any program or school.

How to Apply

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
