Position Details
General Qualifications Include :
- A professional teaching certificate, ideally in Alberta.
- Preference will be given to individuals who possess one of the following:
- A completed or in progress doctoral degree in Education;
- A completed Master’s Degree of Education degree;
- A completed Bachelor of Education degree plus several years’ experience in the K-12 sector may be considered; and/or
- A completed Bachelor of Education degree plus several years’ experience in Indigenous Communities may be considered.
- Interest in the professional preparation/development of teachers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with colleagues and student teachers.
- Fluency with curriculum as well as current theories and practices in areas of expertise.
- Previous involvement in a university field experience program as a teacher associate or mentor teacher is considered an asset.
Period of Appointment : Negotiable (based on university semesters and courses taught)
Salary : Currently $7020 per course (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
