About us: Pastaggio is an artisan fresh pasta company based in Vancouver. We are hiring for our fresh pasta food truck - bringing our handcrafted fresh pasta dishes to the streets! Our mission is to share the love of fresh, high-quality pasta using seasonal ingredients and rotating menus to the community - while providing a warm hospitality experience for our customers.
Position Overview: MUST have a class 5 driver’s license with a good driving record
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes according to Pastaggio’s recipes and standards.
- Operate food truck equipment safely and efficiently while always adhering to Foodsafety procedures.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and portion control meet company standards.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, taking orders, providing recommendations and handling payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and fun working environment.
- Participate in community events and festivals to promote Pastaggio's food truck.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking in a restaurant/commercial kitchen, preferable experience working with fresh pasta or Italian cuisine.
- Passion for food with a focus on quality and creativity.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a positive demeanor under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and festivals.
