Licensed Practical Nurses provide resident-centred care in Vancouver’s Oakridge area, administering medications and supporting daily needs at Louis Brier Home and Hospital.

Reporting to the Director of Care, this nurse works under Clinical Nursing Leaders, the Nurse-in-Charge, or an RN. The position delivers care according to individualized plans, facility policies, and British Columbia practice standards. Duties include nursing procedures, documentation, assessments, emergency response, and direction to Nursing Aides.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide secure, respectful nursing care to assigned residents
- Administer medications, including narcotics, using the eMAR system
- Perform catheterizations, dressings, and vital sign procedures
- Document assessments, treatments, medications, and condition changes




- Provide personal care, transportation, and routine Nursing Aide direction

Requirements:
- Graduate from a recognized Practical Nursing program
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Recent Pharmacology, dementia-care, and elderly-care training
- Long Term Care or Gerontology training and experience
- Intermediate First Aid and Basic Life Support certification
