Wage:
$44.46 hour + benefits as per Union collective agreement (full time position)
Location of Work:
Various locations across the Province of Ontario
Job Description:
• Formwork used in concrete construction
• Construct temporary wooden structures and supports
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood materials
• Build foundations and install shoring
• Build and install platforms, scaffolding, ramps and ladders
• Determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts
• Place anchor bolts, steel plates, and rebar support inside the framework before the pour.
• Watch the forms during concrete pouring to check for leaks, shifting, or structural stress.
• Carefully dismantle and clean the frameworks after the concrete cures so parts can be reused
• Operate power and hand tools
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience
• Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools, basic math, and blueprint reading.
• Ability to lift heavy loads, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strict adherence to job-site safety rules and proper use of personal protective equipment.
