84 Global Foods Ltd. (o/a) Ryus Noodle Bar (a Japanese Ramen Noodle Restaurant) is looking for three Japanese Ramen Chef(s) for a salary of; $37.00 per hour for 30.0 hours per week to work at two locations; 786 Broadview Avenue Toronto Ontario and 541 Danforth Avenue Toronto Ontario (the two locations are 2 subway stations apart).
Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of two year of experience in preparing and cooking Japanese cuisine which includes Japanese Ramen Noodle dishes, rice dishes and Japanese cuisine cold & hot side dishes.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as assigned.
• Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic oral English is required
Job Duties
• Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese style Ramen (noodle) soup stocks such as chicken, pork, shoyu, fish and vegetable.
• Prepare and cook Japanese cuisine cold dishes such as; sliced roast beef and Cha-Shu pork
• Prepare and cook Japanese cuisine hot dishes such as; Japanese style dumplings, Rice Bowls dishes.
• Prepare, cook and present online orders and take-out orders.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling food.
• Instruct and oversee the training of cooks in the preparation and technique of Ramen noodle dishes, cooking and presentation of appetizers.
• Check food preparation and kitchen to ensure observance of protected, sanitary food-handling practices in accordance with company health and safety guidelines.
• Estimate expected food consumption, maintain an inventory record and discuss with management when re-stocking supplies is required.
• Create, prepare and present new Japanese style Ramen (noodle) dishes, appetizers, rice-bowl dishes for “special seasonal menu items”
