3 Dimensions Metal Fabrication & Design Ltd. is hiring a Metal Fabrication Supervisor (NOC 72010) in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Permanent, full time, on-site position. 40 hours per week. Wage: $53.00 CAD per hour. One vacancy.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule daily activities of metal fabricators, sheet metal workers, welders and CNC operators.
- Organize production workflows, assign tasks and coordinate fabrication work to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and assist workers in interpreting technical drawings.
- Identify and resolve fabrication problems and recommend manufacturing improvements.
- Coordinate material, equipment and supply requirements.
- Prepare and review technical drawings and fabrication documentation using SolidWorks and QCAD.
- Prepare cutting files for laser and plasma cutting and manufacturing details for press brake bending.
- Set up and program CNC machines.
- Train and mentor fabrication personnel.




- Oversee cutting, bending, welding, assembly and finishing operations.
- Inspect finished components for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Ensure workplace safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal work, machining or a related trade.
- Experience supervising, coordinating or training workers.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, CNC equipment and CAD software.
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Relevant trade certification or technical education is an asset.
