Responsibilities
Tasks
• Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints
• Align, weld or bolt units in place
• Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures
• Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Alberta: Alberta-recognized Ironworker trade certification OR sufficient verifiable experience to qualify for Alberta’s Trades Qualifier – Work Experience Program.



Experienced applicants without a trade certificate are welcome to apply
British Columbia: Ironworker trade certification is an asset; applicants with suitable ironworking experience without certification will also be considered.
