Job DescriptionJob Description
Student Enrolment Sales Representative (Commission-Based, Flexible Hours, Hybrid) — Bilingual English/Spanish
Company: Conecta Canada — International Students Agency
Location: Hybrid — work remotely, with occasional in-person meetings in Vancouver / Surrey, BC
Job type: Independent contractor, part time
Time commitment: About 15–20 hours per week. No set schedule — you plan your own hours. Compensation: Commission only. [10-15% of students tuition, or a flat amount per enrolled student]. Expected earnings: CAD $4,000-$5,000 per month, average depending on results.
About us
Conecta Canada helps international students come to Canada and do well once they are here. Most of the students and families we work with speak Spanish. They are making a big, expensive decision far from home, and they want clear answers from someone they can trust.
We support students with:
- Education — choosing a school and programme, and preparing the application
- Study permit documents — preparing financial support letters and supporting documents
- Housing — help finding a place to live before and after arrival
- Careers — free career coaching for our students: résumé help, interview practice, and job-search guidance
Students do not pay us for these services. Our partner schools pay us when a student enrols.
About the role
This is a sales role for someone who wants to be paid for results. You will turn enquiries into enrolled students. You earn a commission for every student you help enrol with one of our partner schools.
You choose when you work.
Most students and families are free in the late afternoon, in the evening, and on weekends — many of them work during the day or call from Latin America. People who are available at those times usually close more enrolments.
What you will do
Sales (most of the role)
- Respond quickly to new enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, email, and SMS
- Run discovery calls and video calls with students and their families
- Understand each student's goals and budget, and match them with suitable programmes
- Explain our services clearly and honestly, in Spanish and English
- Follow up with leads until they make a decision
- Bring in new leads through your own network, community events, and social media
- Keep every lead and next step up to date in our CRM (GoHighLevel)
Hand-off to onboarding
- Welcome new students and explain the next steps
- Collect the first documents and pass complete files to our team
What we are looking for
Required
- Fluent in Spanish and English, spoken and written
- Proven experience in sales, ideally commission-based
- Confident on the phone and on video, and comfortable following up
- Self-motivated and organized — you manage your own time and pipeline
- Your own laptop, phone, and reliable internet
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to have
- Personal experience as an international student in Canada
- Experience in education, student recruitment, or settlement services
- An existing network in the Latin American community, in Canada or abroad
- Experience with GoHighLevel or a similar CRM
- Portuguese or another third language
Professional boundaries
We take honesty seriously, and this role must too.
- No immigration advice. In Canada, only a licensed immigration consultant (RCIC) or a lawyer can give immigration advice. You will share general, public information and refer immigration questions to a licensed professional.
- No guarantees. We never promise a visa, a study permit, an admission, or a job. You will describe what we actually provide, not outcomes we cannot control.
- No pressure sales. We describe our partner schools accurately and never push a student into a programme that does not fit.
We will train you on these boundaries, our partner schools, and our processes.
What we offer
- Commission on every student you help enrol (when commission is paid — e.g. after the student starts class)]
- Full control of your schedule
- Mostly remote work
- Warm leads from our marketing, plus training and sales materials
- Meaningful work helping people start a new life in Canada
How to apply
Apply through ZipRecruiter with your résumé. In a short message, tell us in Spanish why this role interests you, and in English about your best sales result and how you got it.
We thank all applicants. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
