The Controller is based in the Greater Vancouver area and will lead the finance and accounting function, strengthening financial governance, accounting practices, internal controls, systems, and reporting to support sustainable growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a CPA who combines solid technical accounting expertise with the ability to develop teams, improve processes, and provide meaningful financial insight to the CEO and COO.

Responsibilities:

- Assess and improve the finance function, including team structure, systems, processes, controls, and reporting.
- Establish accounting policies, approval authorities, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Oversee reconciliations, balance sheet integrity, month-end and year-end close, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Establish reliable manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, and project profitability reporting.
- Oversee Canadian and U.S. entities, including intercompany transactions, consolidations, foreign exchange, and CAD/USD reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting,



cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Optimize ERP and accounting systems and improve integration and workflows across accounting, CRM, purchasing, payroll, and operations.
- Manage external accounting, audit, tax, payroll, and benefits relationships.

Requirements:

- CPA designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience at the Controller level or above, overseeing a mid sized or larger organization.
- Strong experience managing multi-entity Canadian and U.S. finance operations in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of systems.
- Proven expertise in financial controls, accounting policies, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and multicurrency reporting.
- Experience with manufacturing accounting, inventory, project costing, and job costing.

Salary in the 140,000 base range depending on experience.
