Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive business analysis services across diverse business and technological environments. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, and leading efforts to develop strategies, business cases, and process improvements aligned with organizational objectives and IT methodologies.

Responsibilities:

- Provide end-to-end business analysis services for complex I⁢ initiatives.
- Engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit and document requirements.
- Develop and promote business analysis policies, best practices, and standards within the organization.
- Lead business analysis activities aligned with project phases and organizational methodologies.
- Apply business process re-engineering concepts to identify cost-effective service delivery improvements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and prepare business cases for IT initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering through JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, and other techniques.
- Perform business modeling including use case, data flow, process mapping, and business rules definition.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report to management and stakeholders.
- Develop performance measures and traceability matrices to evaluate business analysis effectiveness.

Required Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a business analyst with demonstrated expertise.
- Proven ability in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing business strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies.
- Strong skills in business process re-engineering and use of various business analysis tools and techniques.
- Proficiency with CASE tools, UML, JAD sessions,



and GUI/mockup design tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and meet deadlines consistently.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with information retrieval packages and Information Management principles.
- Ability to translate business and data requirements into technology solution specifications.
- Familiarity with business functional modeling, event modeling, and process mapping methods.
- Experience with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for requirements development.
- Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
- Experience developing performance measures and conducting follow-up evaluations.
