Our client, a logistics and parcel transportation operation, is seeking a Heavy General Labour to join their team. As a Heavy General Labour, you will be part of the dock operations team supporting fast, accurate package processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong team mindset, the ability to adapt to night dock work, and the drive to learn quickly in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Title: Heavy General Labour

Location: Mount Hope, ON

Pay Range: $18/hr

Shift: AM Dock Sorter (Monday-Friday, 2:15AM - 8:15AM)

What's the Job?

- Efficiently load and unload freight from a 53-ft trailer, ensuring safe handling and proper organization.
- Transfer freight between curbside trucks and conveyor systems while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Unload freight from conveyors or chutes to support smooth load-out procedures.
- Identify and resolve mis-sorted freight to uphold processing accuracy and minimize errors.
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area, complete end-of-shift cleaning tasks, and report operational concerns to the manager.

What's Needed?

- Team player attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Adaptability to working nights and completing assigned AM dock sorter duties.
- Quick learning ability and willingness to follow procedures to keep operations accurate and efficient.
- Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime as needed.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and lift up to 70 lb freight from the trailer; constant unloading of the trailer throughout the shift is a major requirement.
