Build AI-powered trading software remotely from Canada using Ruby on Rails, broker integrations, and production engineering practices.

This experienced intermediate software engineer develops features across an established trading journal for individual traders and proprietary trading firms. You will work through database architecture, user-facing interfaces, AI functionality, and deployment. The small engineering team values code quality, testing, reliability, and an AI-first approach using tools such as Claude Code. The role requires ownership from concept through ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy Ruby on Rails application features
- Own broker integrations and trading-data import processes
- Develop and evaluate AI-powered trading functionality
- Review code, test changes,



and resolve production issues
- Share releases, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution

Requirements:

- At least five years building production Ruby on Rails applications
- Experience owning features through deployment and maintenance
- Daily experience reviewing and validating AI-generated code
- Experience building applications using AI models
- Canada location and Brasília time overlap availability
