Build embedded imaging software for VIAVI Solutions’ optical test equipment using C++, Python, Linux, and machine vision expertise. This role supports telecommunications laboratories and manufacturing applications.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will develop controls, automation, and interfaces for complex electro-optical-mechanical systems. You will support complete product lifecycles, from concept and research through development and recent product introduction. The work includes imaging algorithms, embedded platforms, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and debug software for enhancements and new products
- Develop embedded platforms in Linux environments
- Create embedded imaging algorithms and applications
- Collaborate on system architecture, bring-up,



and BSP support
- Prepare technical documentation for products and systems

Requirements:

- Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related engineering field
- Five-plus years developing software with C/C++ and Python
- Three-plus years developing embedded real-time C/C++ systems
- Three-plus years in embedded imaging and machine vision applications
- Knowledge of image processing tools including OpenCV and NumPy
