Support measurable development outcomes as a Climate and Impact Officer at FinDev Canada, based in downtown Montreal with hybrid flexibility. Analyze investments across priority sectors.

This position leads or supports impact assessments for FinDev Canada’s financing and investment opportunities. You will implement the Impact Approach while improving impact measurement and management practices. Working with investment, risk, legal, and other functions, you will address climate and nature action, gender equality, and market development. The role reports to the Director, Development Impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead complex impact assessments across a portfolio of transactions

Provide guidance on impact-related matters and measurement practices

Review carbon accounting and strengthen emissions reporting





Coordinate improvements to processes, methodologies, and reporting

Mentor less experienced team members

Requirements:

Relevant undergraduate degree in economics, climate, or sustainable finance

Five-plus years of relevant experience for Officer level

Ability to independently lead complex impact assessments

Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills

Bilingual French and English; Spanish fluency is an asset

Lead development impact work through climate assessments, carbon accounting, portfolio guidance, and stronger reporting practices at FinDev Canada.
